4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use the following categories of cookies and browser-storage technologies:

• Consent tool cookies: FCCDCF and FCNEC are set on this domain by Google's consent tool (Google Privacy & messaging) when a page first loads, before you interact with anything. Google's cookie list at business.safety.google/adscookies files FCCDCF under Functionality with a 13-month lifespan and FCNEC under Analytics with a 365-day lifespan, both for its consent tool (named Funding Choices in that list).
• Advertising cookies: set by Google and its partners when ads are shown; they require consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland. Our analytics tool, Cloudflare Web Analytics, sets no cookies.
• Affiliate cookies: this site sets none. If you follow a link marked "Ad", the affiliate program or seller may set its own cookies on its own domain (see Section 6).
• Local browser storage: we use your browser's local storage (a storage area on your device that is not a cookie) for two things: your light or dark theme choice and, where the converter shows a list of recent conversions, your last five conversions (the temperature, time and unit you entered and the oven and air fryer type you chose). Both stay on your device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else, contain no identifier or tracking information, and are deleted when you clear this site's data in your browser. We treat them as strictly necessary for the interface and the converter features you use.
• Offline copy of the converter: where the site offers offline use, a service worker (a small script your browser runs for this site) keeps a copy of the converter page and its scripts in your browser's cache, so the converter opens without a connection. The copy holds only this site's own files and nothing about you, and clearing this site's data removes it. Installing the site as an app on your device adds nothing to this.
• Third-party advertising cookie names: Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies named (non-exhaustive) IDE, NID, ANID, _gcl_au, and identifiers under the gads / __gads namespace. Names and expiries are documented in Google's published cookie list at https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies. We do not control these cookies; they are governed by Google's privacy policy.

Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland see a consent message from Google's consent tool, a Google-certified Consent Management Platform that follows IAB TCF v2.3. For these visitors, no advertising cookies are set before you give consent in that message, and the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer reopens it so you can withdraw or change your consent at any time. Everywhere else, including Canada and the United States, no consent message is shown and "Cookie Settings" brings you to this section. Visitors in the US states covered by Google's consent tool also have the opt-out dialog described in Section 9. Outside the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, turn off personalized ads with Google's Ad Settings (adssettings.google.com), the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out in the United States (optout.aboutads.info), the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada's WebChoices tool in Canada (youradchoices.ca/en/webchoices), or your browser's third-party cookie controls.

6. Affiliate Links

Some pages about choosing an air fryer or its accessories link to sellers through affiliate programs. If you buy after following one of these links, the seller pays us a commission, at no extra cost to you. Each affiliate link has the word "Ad" in its text, and a short note before the first one on the page says what it means. Links without that label earn us nothing. The converter, the food conversion guides and the safety guide carry no affiliate links.

This site sets no cookie for these links and runs no script from any affiliate program: each one is a plain link, and nothing is sent anywhere until you click it. When you do, your browser leaves this site and goes to the program or the seller, which records the click so that a later purchase can be credited to us. Most do this with a cookie on their own domain. Those cookies are theirs, not ours, and their privacy notices apply. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, a cookie on their site that is not strictly necessary is theirs to ask your consent for.

Links to Amazon carry only our Associates tag, the ID Amazon uses to credit a sale to us, with no reference to the page or the spot on it. A link through one of the other programs below would carry our account ID with that program and a short reference naming the page and the spot, such as nvc-comparator for the comparison table on the Ninja vs Cosori page, so its reports show which link earned. Neither the tag, the ID nor the reference says anything about you, and we add nothing else. The reports we see list clicks, orders and commissions by date, and by link or product. They do not include your name, email address or postal address, and we do not try to match them to anyone.

Legal basis in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland: to the extent we play any part in what a program records when you click, we rely on our legitimate interest in earning a commission on a purchase you choose to make (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). In Canada, we collect no personal information through these links and give none to the programs: your browser contacts them only when you click.

The affiliate programs our links can go through

A link marked "Ad" goes through one of the five programs below and no other. Today every such link goes to Amazon. Sovrn Commerce, Impact, Awin and CJ are listed in advance because we may add links through them. Each item says what that program's own privacy notice says it collects, how long it keeps it, and how to opt out or use your rights. We read each notice on October 17, 2026.

• Amazon Associates. Links to Amazon carry our Associates tag in the address. If Amazon then sends you to its store for your country, that store's privacy notice applies. Amazon's Privacy Notice says it uses cookies and other identifiers to recognize your browser or device. Its state privacy disclosures say it keeps personal information for as long as needed for the purposes in that notice, and give no fixed period. To opt out of Amazon's cross-context behavioral ads, use Your Ads Privacy Choices on amazon.com or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, which Amazon says it treats as that opt-out. • Sovrn Commerce (Sovrn, Inc.). A Sovrn Commerce link goes to Sovrn first, which tracks the click and any purchase to credit the sale, and it can pass through the seller's own affiliate program as well, which may be one not named here. Sovrn's privacy policy says it keeps personal information only as long as needed for the purposes it was collected for, with no fixed period. It also says Sovrn is a registered data broker that licenses pseudonymous data from its services, and that some of its sharing of device identifiers counts as a "sale" or "sharing" under California law. To stop Sovrn Commerce tracking, choose "Disable Tracking" in Sovrn's Privacy Center, which sets an opt-out cookie Sovrn honors on every site that uses Sovrn Commerce, or turn on Global Privacy Control, which Sovrn says it honors. The Privacy Center also takes access, correction and deletion requests. Sovrn's privacy policy, Sovrn's Privacy Center, Sovrn opt-out.
• Impact (Impact Tech, Inc.). Impact says it acts for the seller as a "service provider" or "data processor", that the visitor data it handles can include IP addresses and account or membership numbers without a key that identifies you, and that it does not rent or sell personal information. It says visitors' personal data is deleted or anonymized automatically after ninety days. To see, correct or delete your data, Impact asks you to contact the seller whose site you visited. You can also set your browser to refuse cookies or to warn you when one is sent. Impact's privacy policy.
• Awin (Awin Ltd and the Awin Group). Awin says it tracks a click from a publisher to a seller with cookies served from its own tracking domain, a tag on the seller's site, and device fingerprinting, which recognizes a device from attributes of its browser such as screen size, resolution and settings. It can link a journey that starts on one device and ends on another. Awin says it does not learn your name or identity: it keeps a pseudonymous record of the click, the country it came from and the device, plus the order value and product type when you buy, and relies on legitimate interests for this tracking. It keeps tracking data for up to three years, then deletes or anonymizes it, and may keep some in pseudonymous form for up to five years for its own analysis. Its US notice says it does not sell or share personal information as California and other state laws define those terms. Awin's notice names no opt-out tool for this tracking; to object to it or use your other rights, write to the privacy address in that notice. Awin says it may need your IP address or device ID to find your data. Awin's privacy policy (UK and EU), Awin's privacy policy (US).
• CJ (Commission Junction LLC). For the UK and the EU, CJ's notice names Epsilon International UK Ltd as the controller. CJ says it mainly uses cookies, pixels and tags to match a sale to the publisher that referred it, and that it processes only pseudonymous information, such as IP addresses, cookie IDs, referring website addresses, order IDs and browsing activity, which it does not link to your name, email address or phone number. Its US notice says it keeps that information for 6 years and then disassociates it from you; its UK and EU notice says up to six years. The UK and EU notice says CJ places its own cookies only with your consent, apart from certain essential cookies, and that you can withdraw consent with "Review Consent Preferences" in the footer of its website. The US notice says CJ does not "sell" personal information as the CCPA defines it, and gives an online form and the phone number 1 (833) 983-0087 for access and deletion requests. For readers in the United States: we pass nothing about you to these programs, so following a link marked "Ad" is not a sale or sharing of your personal information by us. What each program says about selling or sharing is in its item above. In short, Sovrn says some of its sharing counts as a sale or sharing under California law and honors Global Privacy Control, Amazon treats Global Privacy Control as an opt-out of its cross-context behavioral ads, Impact and Awin say they do not sell, and CJ says it does not sell as the CCPA defines it.

To ask about a click you made from this site, write to us at the address in Section 16 and we will pass your request to the program it went through. Each program also takes requests directly, as described above.

9. Your Rights: California (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to:

• Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the sources, the business purposes, and third-party recipients.
• Delete personal information, subject to exceptions.
• Correct inaccurate personal information.
• Opt out of sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money; however, our use of Google AdSense to serve personalized ads may qualify as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CPRA. You may opt out through the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer: in the US states covered by Google's consent tool, it opens Google's opt-out dialog (once you have opted out, it brings you here instead); everywhere else it brings you to this section. Google states that it honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal on its ad requests for users in the US states it lists; California is not on that list as of this policy's date, so use the footer link. The personal information handled for us (server logs, aggregate analytics and any emails you send us) is not sold or shared, so there is nothing of ours for a GPC signal to switch off.
• Limit use of Sensitive Personal Information: we do not retain SPI. Our advertising partners are independent controllers for any data they collect.
• Non-discrimination: we will not deny service, charge different prices, or provide a lesser experience for exercising your rights.

We acknowledge requests within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days (extendable by 60 days with notice). Submit requests to support@converttoairfryer.com .

Categories of personal information disclosed for a business purpose in the past 12 months: identifiers (IP address, device identifiers), internet/electronic activity (browsing on this Site), inference data (approximate location, interests). Disclosed to: Cloudflare (hosting, through Cloudflare Workers static assets), Google (AdSense advertising and its consent tool), and Cloudflare Web Analytics (aggregate page analytics that uses no cookies).

10. Canadian Visitors (PIPEDA / Quebec Law 25)

We process personal information in accordance with PIPEDA and, for Quebec residents, Law 25. Our designated Privacy Officer is Kaustubh Ghodke, reachable at support@converttoairfryer.com . You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, and you can withdraw your consent at any time using the controls described below. We respond to requests within 30 days. Withdrawing consent to personalized advertising means Google stops personalizing the ads it shows you; non-personalized ads may still appear. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca or, for Quebec residents, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Quebec Law 25 (section 8.1 of the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector): when this Site shows ads, Google's advertising technology on the page can profile you, which means inferring your interests from your browsing on this and other sites, to choose the ads you see. The technology is Google's and runs when a page with ads loads. You can turn this profiling off with Google's Ad Settings at adssettings.google.com, with the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada's WebChoices tool at youradchoices.ca/en/webchoices (which opts your browser out of interest-based ads from participating companies), or with your browser's third-party cookie controls, and back on again in Google's Ad Settings. The "Cookie Settings" link in the footer opens a consent dialog only where a regional consent message applies (the EEA, the UK and Switzerland); everywhere else, Canada included, it brings you to Section 4 of this policy.
