Privacy Policy

Last Updated: April 22, 2026

1. Who We Are

ConvertToAirFryer.com ("we," "us," "our") is operated by DigiCatalyst Systems, located in Ontario, Canada. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. For privacy questions, contact our Privacy Officer at support@converttoairfryer.com .

2. Information We Collect

We collect limited information to operate, secure, and improve the Site:

  • Server log data: IP address, browser type, device type, ISP, referring/exit pages, date/time, click data. Collected automatically by our hosting provider. Retained up to 90 days for security and troubleshooting.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see Section 4.
  • Advertising data: collected by Google and other ad partners via cookies and identifiers (see Section 5).
  • Communications: if you email us, we retain the email and your address only as long as needed to respond.

We do not retain Sensitive Personal Information (as defined by the CPRA). Our advertising partners are independent controllers for any data they collect through their own cookies and identifiers. The Site is not directed to children (see Section 11).

3. Lawful Bases (EEA/UK Visitors)

We process personal data under the following GDPR Article 6 bases:

  • Consent: for non-essential cookies, personalized advertising, and similar technologies.
  • Legitimate interests: for site security, fraud prevention, and aggregate analytics.
  • Legal obligation: where we must retain data to comply with applicable law.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use the following categories of cookies and browser-storage technologies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies: required to operate the Site; do not require consent.
  • Analytics and advertising cookies: set by Google and other partners; require consent in the EEA/UK/Switzerland.
  • Language preference cookie: a first-party cookie named "selected_language" may be set to remember your locale selection. It contains no identifier and is used only by this Site. Expiry: 1 year.
  • Local browser storage: we use your browser's local storage (a non-cookie storage area on your device) to remember interface preferences such as your light or dark theme choice. This data is stored only on your device, is never transmitted to us or to third parties, and contains no identifier or tracking information. It is treated as strictly necessary for delivering the interface you have requested.
  • Third-party advertising cookie names: Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies named (non-exhaustive) IDE, NID, ANID, _gcl_au, and identifiers under the gads / __gads namespace. Names and expiries are documented in Google's published cookie list at https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies. We do not control these cookies; they are governed by Google's privacy policy.

EEA/UK/Swiss visitors are shown a consent banner powered by a Google-certified Consent Management Platform compliant with IAB TCF v2.2. For these visitors, no non-essential cookies are set before you provide consent through the banner. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time by clicking "Cookie Settings" in the footer.

5. Google AdSense and Third-Party Advertising

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies and identifiers to serve ads on this Site based on your visits here and elsewhere on the Internet. Google's and its partners' use of advertising technologies is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites .

6. International Transfers

Our ad partners, including Google, process personal data in the United States and other jurisdictions. Where EU/UK personal data is transferred outside the EEA/UK, we rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, for US transfers, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Google's DPF certification covers AdSense data flows). A copy of the safeguards is available on request.

7. Your Rights: European Economic Area and United Kingdom

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data and receive a copy.
  • Rectify inaccurate personal data.
  • Erase personal data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restrict processing in specified circumstances.
  • Data portability: receive data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior lawful processing).
  • Object to automated decisions: you have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that produces legal or similarly significant effects. AdSense personalization does not produce such effects, and you may opt out at any time via the Cookie Settings link in the footer.

You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. For example, the UK ICO at ico.org.uk .

We respond to verifiable requests within 30 days; complex requests may be extended by up to 60 additional days with notice.

  • Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the sources, the business purposes, and third-party recipients.
  • Delete personal information, subject to exceptions.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money; however, our use of Google AdSense to serve personalized ads may qualify as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CPRA. You may opt out via the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer. We also recognize the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out.
  • Limit use of Sensitive Personal Information: we do not retain SPI. Our advertising partners are independent controllers for any data they collect.
  • Non-discrimination: we will not deny service, charge different prices, or provide a lesser experience for exercising your rights.

10. Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures (including TLS encryption in transit, restricted administrative access, and regular security updates) to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

11. Children

This Site is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA, subject to member-state law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Log file data: up to 90 days. Analytics data: up to 26 months.

13. Breach Notification

We maintain an incident response process. In the event of a personal data breach that poses a risk to rights and freedoms, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority (within 72 hours under GDPR) and affected individuals as required by applicable law. Under PIPEDA, we will also notify the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and affected individuals of any breach of security safeguards involving real risk of significant harm, and maintain breach records as required by the Breach of Security Safeguards Regulations.
